Tussilago farfara - Colt's-foot

This is a distinctive bright flower that is one of the first non-bulb flowers to appear in spring. Later, as the flowers die back, leaves erupt and they remain throughout the season so that it can often be recorded well into the autumn. It grows on hedgerows and disturbed ground often around houses.
