Fallopia - Black-bindweed and Russian Vine

This genus used to include Reynoutria which is now a separate genus, but hybrids can occur between genera.

Fallopia baldschuanica Russian Vine is a persistent garden throw-out. It is woody at the base and twins and scrambles for many metres.

Fallopia convolulus Black-bindweed is an annual which climbs or trails over arable land and waste ground.
