Vigorous, large plant often a garden throw-out. Bristly-haired with pointed ovate leaves, broadest at the base. The basal leaves are on long stalks. Piercing blue flowers with a white “eye”. Five narrow lobes to the calyx, 5 petals, 5 stamens and a single style within the corolla tube.
