Ornithogalum umbellatum s.l. - Star-of-Bethlehem
The bell-shaped flowers are a brilliant white, a green strips on the outside with yellow anthers in a one-sided spike. The linear leaves have a central white line.
The native plant (subsp. campestre) has open flower 28 -35mm wide with elongated bulbils at the base. The garden escape (subsp. umbellatum) has a larger flower up to 55mm wide with many globular bulbils.
